Citing recent data provided by Zillow, King 5 reporter Ryan Takeo says recent rent growth in the Seattle area means that the breakeven point to own vs. rent is only 19 months, quicker than the US on average.  He suggests the average of 8% rent increases and low interest rates have helped make homeownership a clearer choice.  The news clip included video footage of the long lines that formed in front of the Preview Center for NEXUS as demonstration of active housing demand.
